1. Learning Should Be Fun

As ICT education continues to expand in Japan, typing has become a fundamental skill that supports learning across all subjects.
PASYA Typing is a typing program designed to help learners of all ages, from children to adults, build touch typing skills from the ground up by focusing only on the essentials.
However, one challenge of learning to type is that repetitive basic practice can become monotonous over time.
We began asking ourselves what kind of educational game could encourage learners to practice because they wanted to, rather than because they had to.
When considering the answer, we arrived at a simple idea: an exciting game would be a fighting game.
TYPING GIRL was created with the hope of becoming a learning tool that inspires people to practice typing on their own initiative.

2. Classroom-Friendly Design

While focusing on making the game enjoyable, we also considered the level of safety and simplicity appropriate for use in educational settings.
As a typing learning tool, TYPING GIRL displays both proper finger placement and the keys to be pressed.
Rather than creating a game aimed at experienced typists or pure speed competition, we deliberately avoided features such as excessive player-versus-player competition and unnecessary chat functions. Instead, we designed a straightforward game where players defeat enemies at their own pace.
The final boss is also designed to be challenging but fair. It does not require cheats or impossible levels of skill to defeat, and can be beaten with practice.
We also included lessons that let players practice keyboard shortcuts, a feature that is rarely found in typing games. This allows players to develop practical PC skills while playing.

3. Our Mission

Meaningful digital transformation begins with the ability to use computers and digital tools effectively. Typing is one of the fundamental skills for using a computer.
Typing is a skill that can be useful throughout life.
Rather than treating it as nothing more than a routine task, we wanted to create a way for people to learn typing through an enjoyable game.
That idea became the motivation behind the development of TYPING GIRL.
