1. Learning Should Be Fun
As ICT education expands in Japan, touch typing has become the "foundational strength" for all digital learning.
Pasha-Uchi Typing, originally released as a school-based practice site, is an excellent tool that strips away unnecessary features to focus on the basics.
However, educators often face a common hurdle: "Practice becomes monotonous, and students eventually lose interest."
Just like sports, typing requires repetitive practice. By adding the "spice" of gaming, we aim to motivate children to engage with their computers willingly. With this in mind, we integrated that concept into Typing Girl to create a fresh, new approach to learning.
2. Classroom-Friendly Design
While pursuing fun, we have prioritized safety for the educational environment.
We have excluded excessive competition and unnecessary chat features, keeping the game straightforward: defeat the enemies. Naturally, there are no scoreboards.
Additionally, the final boss is balanced to be achievable with practice, rather than requiring "cheats" to win.
We have also incorporated keyboard shortcut practice—a rarity in typing games—allowing students to acquire truly practical PC skills while they play.
3. Our Mission
True digital transformation (DX) can only be achieved when one has the skills to operate digital devices effectively. Typing is the cornerstone of these skills.
Typing is a lifelong "weapon."
Our goal is to transform this skill from a dry, clerical task into an exciting, engaging experience through gaming.
We believe this approach provides a solid foundation for children’s digital skills in the future.
